PublicEye is a free mobile app that lets everyday people help law enforcement catch dangerous criminals—without ever collecting a name, email, or phone number. When police issue a time-limited alert for a wanted suspect, nearby users can choose to opt in. Their phone’s camera and microphone temporarily scan for a match using AI, then immediately delete everything when they tap “Stop” or the alert ends.
